Background:
Standard Bank, after implementing a successful online banking solution realised, the need to provide their customers with a mobile banking solution. They chose WAP as the technology to deliver this solution.
Problem identified by the customer:
In order to achieve the extremely high levels of security and usability that Standard Bank pride themselves on, iTouch was contracted to provided specialist WAP consulting (iConsult) for the resolution of a number of difficulties encountered while implementing such a new technology. Furthermore iTouch provide a service (iConfigure) to Standard Bank which allows them to automatically and remotely set up their customers WAP devices with the correct information.

Through iTouch's contribution, the development team at Standard Bank had a smooth and successful entry into the world of WAP. Likewise, the entry of Standard Bank WAP customers into this mobile world is also made simple and easy using iConfigure. Users are not confronted by the complexities of having to set up their own WAP phone but simply request a special SMS message (OTA) from Standard Banks website (http://www.standardbank.co.za/cellphone/overview.htm).
